Went out to nine mile campground to fish for pike. Had no bites then I went out abit in the bay and saw the pike spawning. There was one giant female and about 5 smaller males swarming her and chasing her around right in front of me. It was kinda cool, never seen anything like that before. So I figured the pike won't bite since they're busy and I went out just around the corner out the bay towards the dam to fish for the triploids. Caught several right away on a rapala shad rap bright yellow and red I think the color is called "hot tiger". Anyways I decided to switch to a crawdad lure I knew the triploids like in the Columbia and that was the lure to use, I had bites almost instantly and caught squawfish, smallmouth, trout, and even 2 walleyes which I never caught there before or heard of other ppl catching. So the pike should start biting again in alittle bit gonna have to wait.
