Special thanks to the three generation group, of Dick Thaden, Dave Trip and Josh Tripp for continuing a family and Darrell & Dad's tradition. They have come over and spent some quality time catching up on family changes and activities. We decided to try Colyar ledge early. It was a bit of a slow start going 2 for 7 on the first pass, starting at 220 feet and pulling the lines at 360 feet. We ran down the lake clean for 40 minutes then things started to pop with doubles and triples on, but we seemed to lose about 50% of the fish! Then the breeze finally settled down and we could establish a NASCAR racetrack pattern and hammer the concentrations of fish on the 320's and 340's ledge. The bite finally did falter later in the morning so we found some piles of fish to pound in Manson Bay to finish our day.
Jeff's Combo made from a Mack's Smile Blade and beads baited with a piece of Pikeminnow once again was the big producer. Staying tight to the bottom at 1.2 mph was the remaining pieces of the presentation formula.
