Beautiful morning on fish lake, myself and my wife and daughter camped at the cove, rented a boat and started fishing at about 7am. Trolled with various flashers and wedding rings tipped with worms. Caught five or six stocker size rainbows in one lap around the lake. My wife and kid were getting hungry so I dropped them off at the dock and I headed back out to look for some bass. I was casting at some docks on the south side of the lake with a 6" zoom lizard(junebug color). Had a few good size perch tugging at its tail and then about 5 casts in I saw my line start to track sideways and boom! Set the hook and hauled in a nice 4.5 lb largie! Snapped some pics and let her go. Next dock down the line I skipped my lizard under the dock and fish on again! Another good size bass and while I was fighting it there was another big bass following it! Landed that one, weighed 3.5 lbs and released it back to the water. I was kind of surprised at how good the bass fishing was here. I never really hear anyone talk about bass at fish lake. Satisfied with the fish and getting hungry myself I headed back to the dock. I will definitely be going back soon!
