Our Mothers day trip to Long Lake picked up from our Saturday trip (mom,dad,son) that my son picked a pattern that none of us were using (1/4 ounce pink headed jig with cotton candy grub or a shad minnow) mostly off rocks in the shade he got several 1 pound smallies and a 20" walleye. Sunday the wife and I went with the grub pattern and scored several dink smallies, a squaw fish and she got a 2 1/2 smallie and a 18" Rainbow, I was about the same several dink smallies, 20" Rainbow, 2 pound Smallie and finished the day with a 5 1/2 pound smallie (biggest one I have caught!) All in all a GREAT weekend! I hope they leave this lake alone to grow ! What a variety fish, we are so lucky to have this 20 minutes from Spokane!
