Fished at Long Lake County Park Monday and Tuesday mornings for a few hours. Overcast and cloudy both days. Got there about 6 am the first day and started with a jig, but no bites. Tried to throw the frog but no takers on that either. T-rigged some plastics, but nothing. Switched to a jerkbait and that seemed to be the ticket. It was a Blk/Silver with an orange belly. Next day was the same story. Started out with a wacky rig, but no bites. I lost 1 that took the jig shallow right next to the dock, almost under it. It was black and blue and that was the only bite I got on the jig in 2 days. Switched over to the jerkbait and they started hitting. Caught about 10 total at that little dock ripping the jerkbait out of the pads surrounding it. However, none of them were that big. The biggest one was about 1.5-2 lbs. All in all in was a good time fishing. There's gotta be more than just that jerkbait that'll work though. Just gotta find it.
