Took out the kayaks to Battleground lake hoping to catch a few rainbows with a buddy of mine. The lake was calm, with about 15 people fishing. I didn't see any fish topping the surface or see anyone catch a fish. Not what I was hoping for but still a nice day out on the water. Tried using a worm (slow trolling), rooster tails, spoons, and ended up resorting to powerbait which didn't produce either. I was hoping for a few fish considering the recent trout plants. Probably won't be back for a while! What do you guys find works best at Battlegroud Lake?
