Well got up and hit the road a little late, got the boat in the water at 7am and trolled straight across and started trolling on the DR at 15 to 35 ft deep. We got a few drive by's right away, one thing I noticed is these fish like a slower speed around the 1.1 -1.4 mph. We manage to get two fish in the boat right away in the first 45 min of fishing. My son was super happy and thinking this is going to be great. We were watching a few boats catch fish and the guide boat was reeling them in one after another. The bite slowed for us and never picked up the rest of the day. We did run into Istud on the water it was nice to meet and hope we run into again!

We tried everything we had in the box and nothing seem go work. When we did get a take down in the afternoon it got tangled in my top line and well....lost that one so got our spirits up we could get back into the game. We drove all over the lake and could not find the schools of fish. I made my way over to the air rater and started marking fish. We made a few passes and nothing, a boat followed us and he picked up two over the same schools that is when we said lets call it a day. We left at 4:30 in the afternoon, we had a great time and think it just was not our day. Hope to go back up there again soon and hope luck is on our side. The two fish we did take home were 11 and 13" fish very clean fish.
