Launched out of the Lake Spokane Campsite Friday-Sunday. All three days we were on the water by 6am. Friday morning we headed to the dam and hit the rocky islands on the south bank. First fish was a 2lb smallie. From there, they only got smaller. Let my niece pull in a few more dinks before heading midlake looking for some LMB. Prodded around the islands but had no luck there so we started flipping docks. Wacky rigged senkos produced fish after fish. While most were <1lbs. my mom and niece had a blast pulling em in. Friday wrapped up with a nice 3lbs smallmouth around 730PM and headed in for a solid dinner and a good nights sleep. Saturday we got back to the docks, but further up this time. After about 2 hours on the water, realized I forgot to put the plug in and had to run the bilge to empty the boat. First time that's happened and let's hope it's the last. The docks produced more dinks <1lb but ran into the occasional 2lber. Saturday afternoon we ran back towards the rocky islands and found a few more small guys. After pulling into the cove near the islands to find shade and an afternoon nap, we trolled the southern bank flipping senkos into cover. Within 30 minutes I had 5 fish all over 2lbs. Two of those fish were at 3lbs & 3.5lbs. Sunday morning we attempted more wacky rigged senkos into cover but had no luck finding any fish with any size. All were dinks.

This weekends bite produced quantity vs quality... I didn't mind as my family visiting from California doesn't get to fish often so having your rod bend to them is exciting regardless of the size.

I found senkos produced a lot but had to filter out all the small bites to find any fish with size. We also tossed some 4" grubs, T-rigged and had a blast with that as well. All fish caught were smallmouth. Couldn't find a single largemouth willing to bite.
