Took my boss out for a morning of Kokanee fishing after a good trip on the 23rd. Got on the water at 6:30 and trolled from the north end of lake starting at the 6 on the east side cliff face and working back to the 1 on the west shore cliff face. First fish was on 15 min in, a decent 10" koke. He was caught on a sling blade and red wedding ring tipped with Fire Corn. Unfortunately that rig was lost when the clip popped open after it was reeled into the tip topper and the whole works fell in the lake. Changed up to a pink and white Dick Nite dodger and same red wedding ring. Fished 2 and half hours and ended up with 8 kokes, all 8 to 10 inches. Everything was caught from 25' to 35' on the wire. Fish were holding in 100 fow and up close to the cliff faces.

very nice!! Love that lake when I can get my boat in without risking losing my truck on the ramp! How was it and how big a boat did you put in?

Ramp was very slick. Thick reddish algae from the waterline to the bottom. My rig is a 16' center council with a fairly flat bottom. I rarely have trouble launching it on any of sun lakes / resivoirs in Grant County. Other then the slick problem the launch is very nice.

The ramp is a real danger. I know from experience, to the tune of $3000.00 in repairs to my Tahoe! Something needs to be done. I have written Dennis Felton, Sun Lakes State Park with no response! If you care to try, his email is denis.felton@parks.wa.gov
Thanks! Hope to see you there.
Great report!
