Had a great start to the day when I decided to fling a trout magnet around the edge of some Lily pads and WHAM! My little lightweight Fenwick HMX (IM7) turned into a question mark, drag started to whine and I knew I had a nice fish. Well, as you probably know, the fish took off and played rollercoaster with the Lily pads so I was stuck between cutting the line or going swimming. Well, just as I started to wade in, a very nice young gentleman offered to break in his brand new chest waders for the cause.....I was stoked. Well long story short, 10' into the pads and about 15 pads later, he says "ok, I think he's free" I fight with him a bit and landed it on shore. 4.18 lb largemouth
