I always pack my fishing gear while in the mountains -- regardless if I'm going to use it or not. That said, I went to a little party in Little Naches this Saturday, and while everyone was either nodding off or getting inebriated, I hit Quartz Creek Pond. I'm glad I did. A silver and blue Kastmaster caught five fish in a half hour. That was all the time I had at this spot.

This pond holds a sustainable population of Brook Trout, and is stocked once a year with around 300 Rainbows. I caught four Bows and one Brookie. Beautiful evening, and peaceful!
