The kids and I arrived at Alder lake about 6a.m. The fishing was really good but was not able to catch anything over 12 inches. We used everything Ford Fenders with spinners Dodgers with spinners or hoochis. we had doubles and triples several times. The only disappointing thing about the trip was seeing how low the water is just hope there is enough left to get the boat in next time we go.

The kokanee there are small so it sounds like you got the normal.
You can check the water level before you plan to go here. http://www.mytpu.org/tacomapower/parks-recreation/river-flows-lake.htm

As of June 12th it was 1,189.6 feet of elevation (maximum of 1,207 feet). How low was the water?

Toni, we drove by the other day and the lake is low and yes 17' of water is huge and when you come down the road you can still see tons of stumps from the hwy in all the coves no water.

Skunked, sounds like you had a nice day on the water. Was there a ton of other boats out there water skiing and tubing? Where did you launch and fish at in the lake?

Down to 1,188.6 feet as of today. One foot drop in 3 days. At this pace the lake level will be down to 1,184.6 ft or -22ft below full pool in 2 weeks. Some friends and I were hoping to do some boating/fishing/camping there in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know at what lake level they shutdown the boat launches?
