Fished from 1:00 until 3:00. Released 11 rainbows and lost several close to hand. Never fished there before so trolled a full sink line with a streamer on a 10 foot leader. Biggest problem was getting the fly down before hordes of punk sized large mouth bass could grab it. Fished closer to the 20 foot contour to avoid the weeds. A couple days later fished early morning and did just as well, even managed to hook about a 16 inch holdover. If you don't have a way to follow the contours, just fish in the area of the first buoy you see off to your right when standing at the launch. It is deep enough there to avoid the bass and the weeds.

Sounds like you were there right before we arrived and camped that lake. Sounds like a great time. know what you mean about all the bass. I learned quickly how to find the deeper part of the lake but then again I quickly decided I wanted to target the Kokanee which everyone said were really hot. One guy using barb-less hooks caught and released 19 or so keeping his 5 limit. Oh and I saw tons of people coming in limited easy on them. I could not with no trolling motor and less control. You should try Mountain lake sometime. I think that place does not have any bass. Lots of trout and a local told me they stock it with jumbo trioploids. I only managed to catch a small cutthroat but they were surfacing all over. I caught the best fish near the red buoy and to the cliffs. Fished there 16th to the 19h.
