Took my daughter and sister out to American Lake on Saturday evening just to tool around the boat there first time on this boat. So I didn't plan on fishing but I showed them how the down rigger works and I got a few hits nothing hooked. So I decided to go around 8am on Sunday I guess I got excided because something finally hit my pole the day before its been a while on that lake for me. trolled by the island and hooked up with a RB about 13'' I was only trolling for about 20min I thought this is going to be a good day. I got hit again about 15min later this time it was a Kokanee got it up to the boat went to net it and off it went. 10 min later hit again but that's all it was. 20 min later as I was making my way to the north end of the lake pole started to go crazy!! didn't have to take it out of the down rigger or nothing fish came out of the water 6 different times it was a BIG BIG RB!!!! got that joker all the way to the back of the boat and you know what happened next that's right no glory for this guy spit the hook.... after that nothing but I was happy with it this lake has been super slow for me.
