Had only fished Lake Stevens once before even though I live near it, this was a great great day if perch is your fish of choice. We literally caught over 50 in the time we were there, granted many of them were small to extremely small but we also caught and kept about 15 larger ones. There's no limit on keepers for perch. This lake is filled with them. We fished the shallow end near the shore where the east boat launch is, there's plenty of parking and a toilet at this location. You cant pick a bad area for perch in this section of the lake. We used small jigs with a little piece of earthworm attached to the hook and this worked great, I'm sure other baits would have worked good as well. I also caught a smallmouth bass which I didn't know were even in this lake. Weather was cloudy and cool most of the day. The posted regulations at the lake here say that "all vessels" are to have an onboard fire extinguisher which I thought was a little odd but just thought I would let everyone know about. Really fun lake, would probably be a good lake to take kids too for catching a few perch, really easy.
