launched my toon at 5:15 was cloudy with a fog coming off the lake with a tiny bit of a brezze. started trolling in front of public dock ,trolled to where the airplane used to be parked and made a big circle at a slow troll. I started with a pink flasher with a pink kokanee wedding ring tipped with corn .after 1 hr of no hits I put on some of Pro Cures bloody tuna and had a hit with in 5 min. fished till about 10 am and went 3 for 6 that I know of for sure . Im using a new down rigger and am still learning how to set the line in the clip .2 of the 3 that I lost I didn t know I had on until I checked the line to put on more scent . Was a good day for fishing , was able to catch some fish on my new kokanee pole which was from my son for fathers day. would also like to thank OutdoorGPS and Comcast for all the samples and a great time at the day in the park on sat , the pro cure gel works great .

Someone here turned me on to off shore downrigger release clips earlier this season. I was always missing the bite as well. These are great for light fish.

For what it's worth Walmart sells a cheap version clip SEP'S sure release by off shore, SEP"S PRO FISHING , INC I really like them because there small and have a lite release to med adj , how far you put the line into the clip. As they wear in time they work super good for that tiny wiggle the pole strike and thin line 8lb to 12lb also comes with plastic covered connect cable and attachment clip there yellow in color. I like to paint them black so they blend in with the downrigger ball, not sure if it makes a difference but it doesn't stand out in the water so much.Ya the stinky on the corn makes a difference too. lots of it . Dj Butler fishes that lake a lot watch his reports He always tells the color's and dodgers used.and locations .
