Spent a nice vacation at Sacheen with the wife's family. Taught some kids (and grown ups) how to fish and watched my 5 year old nephew land his first fish ever on his own pole, he even casted himself. We consistently caught fish all weekend off the dock and trolling around in the boat. Lily pads by the launch yielded the nicest bass, but most were small overall. The largest (pictured) was only 1.6lb caught on a Senko. Most were caught trolling flies and casting flies/jigs/spinners off the dock. Topwater popper at dusk was great fun also! We caught a ton of bluegill and perch and two crappie also. I've also heard there are Brookies and catfish in the lake but did not catch any. Still, a nice variety and at one point we had at least 5 people all lined up on the shore/docks all catching fish and having fun. I caught a tiny bluegill while danging my fly in the water holding up a crappie to show someone, two fish out of the water at once! Pretty funny.
The "public fishing" access sign at the launch is pretty much a joke, I felt bad for people trying to stand there and fish. There is maybe room for two people unless you just stand on the ramp.
