Haven't been out chasin kokes for a couple of weeks so called friend Ron and went to Loon Friday evening. The barometer was really crazy with a cold front going through in the late afternoon. Didn't know how the Loon Kokes would react to it. Got set up in the "magic" spot in 33 feet of water on the Granite Point end of the lake.
The bite was a little slow coming on and didn't start till about 10. I was tired and not on my game for sure. Man those fish were biting light and stealing corn full speed ahead. Taking me to school for sure. Meanwhile Ron was being taken to school himself. He missed fish after fish; finally broke the ice around eleven....whew!!
I managed to catch 9 and Ron 1 for a single limit of ten in the boat. Not stellar, but as always had a blast with friend Ron. Good friends and sneaky kookanee; what a great evening. Will be back this Friday evening for revenge...watch out kokanee!
Tight lines - Alan
