Decided that a blue moon should not be wasted. Went night fishing for my first time ever. Did not start till about 9 pm and left at 11 pm. Would have loved to put more time in but I had my son and daughter with me and it was kinda late for them since we spent the first half of the day on lake Washington watching the Blue Angles practice. Was a beautiful evening, warm and calm. The moon was bright and lit up the mountain which looked cool. We hit a spot and BAM caught about 4-5 fish real quick. My best one was 4lb 8oz that took a football jig with a crawdad on it. Thought it was a big largemouth at first because it was a fat pig. We then saw lights near the boat launch and got nervous about our truck so we headed to the launch to check. Everything was ok but after that I did not want to venture too far from the launch where I could keep an eye on my vehicle. Pretty fun for my first night fishing trip.
