After returning from lake Curlew, and getting hooked on yellow perch, I took my two daughters out to sawyer to find some more. Didnt start fishing till 630ish (pm). We tied up double hook dropper rigs with large hooks and baited with perch meat, just like i was taught to do at Curlew. Took a little while to find them, and only caught a few. abouth 17ft deep again and just off of the weed line. one was in the 10 inch range. We seemed to have a little better luck with worms, but got stripped too quickly.

We eventually fell off of the school and couldnt find them again. These things are alot of fun for the kids to catch and make for great dinner too.

Tried again the evening of 8-4 and tried the south end of the lake, near a small island. Only caught one. Couldnt find another the rest of the evening. (any advice greatly appreciated)

I saw a 4.5 lb small mouth (i weighed it for him) caught near the boat launch by a man solo in a ski boat. Biggest bass Ive ever seen in person, pretty impressive.
