Took my mother and daughter out for an evening of fishing out on Silver this week.

Hooked into a couple Big mouths. Bites came within minutes of each other about 7 o'clock. Not a lot of action otherwise. Had mom and kid setup to catch some perch and bluegill and they had a blast doing that.

We let all the fish go that we hooked in to. I am a catch and release guy with these smaller lakes around here. Definately want to be able to enjoy catching nice fish like this for years to come.

Even with all the wave runners and boaters we still had a good time. Wish those drivers would have more courtesy out there flying around on those personal watercrafts.....

Can anyone tell me if there is indeed a speed limit out on Silver? I just putt around since it's not that big, not like it takes that long to get from one end to the other. Just curious because there are a couple "5-MPH" signs but not sure if it pertains to the whole lake. thanks.

BTW I rated this evening as a 3 only because of the water traffic. I have only been to Silver a few times and really like the lake, lots of structure and fishable water.
