Had real good luck at the lake today. Fished the shore, standing on the logs that jet out to the lily pads. Just dropped my Texas rigged plastic in a hole, ended up catching a 4lb smallie right off the bat. There was a fellow there trout fishing, real nice guy, new to fishing so him and I talked, offered a couple pointers. Thinking maybe I'll head back out tonight for some more. Was a beautiful overcast northwest day, water was calm and saw lots of activity on the lake. Them bass are hungry.
