I haven't seen a report on this lake in over a year but have been wanting to try it anyway. Seems the WDFW website is really outdated and I can't even tell the last time it was stocked, but what the heck I had the day off and took the wife and son out for a picnic and threw some stuff out there hoping against logic (too hot) that we might catch a brookie or rainbow. On the plus side, the lake was clean and in nice shape (other than broken glass on the shore), but we got skunked. I tried two of my usual trout staples, the fly/bobber combo and a slip sinker rig with a #12 hook with one power egg that will float up off the bottom. My wife said she had some hits on the first fly we tried but couldn't hook any, so went down a couple sizes but that didn't help. Not one bite on the egg. There were a few others fishing also and nobody caught anything that I saw. I'll probably try it again sometime in the fall or spring, this is really not an ideal time for trout on this type of lake. We're still in discovery mode, trying to find new places close to home. The park was nice and had decent kid toys and plenty of picnic tables.
