The water is very low... (see pic) difficult to launch the drift boat and it high centers a little in the launch site but it is possible.
It is perfect for float tube or pontoon boat. The wind wasn't bad and the eagle was out and about.
There were scattered surface rises all day. There is lots of weed and flyfishing was the best way to fish. There was some folks fishing from the west shore with bobbers and bait and they caught a few.
The secret was small, small flies. #16 or smaller. An Adams or mayfly emerger worked well. Two of us easily caught 30 fish. About half were Eastern Brook the other half were nice cutthroats. We brought home three 13" fish for breakfast and released the others. The creek on the north end of the west side is flowing now so maybe relief is on the way.
I always forget that the hatches get smaller in size as the season progresses, that's sure true here.
