I went to Lake Cassidy today 1:45pm until 5:15pm. It was calm when I arrived so tried top water perch rapala on pads to left of launch about 4th cast fish on 9" Bass. Thought this would be start of a good day...headed left from launch and had another bite in next set of pads and a big one 6". Went down to blue house with channall by it and had caught two last week on buzzbait there...tried it with buzzbait and with rapala no bites and no swirls...so decided to try countdown rapala on outside of pads and work my way down to South end of the lake. No bites and had two more top water hits but didn't take at mobile home on corner where they feed the birds.

Tried the buzz bait some more in and around the corner and no hits. Went back to the top water perch rapala and caught 3 in the creek that leaves the lake. Two were bigger 11" and made a good end to the day.

5 fish landed 11"-2, 9"-1 8"-1 and 6"-1 and only had 10 bites.

Last week got 14 on Tuesday biggest 13" and most on buzz bait then went Thursday and only got 4. It's slowing down with cooler weather.

All fish catch and released.

Good luck out there.

James

Nice report. I was there 240pm-450pm. Caught 4 bass at 6-10" while jigging for crappie. Im very suprised tge fish are still at shallow 4-10ft.

Thanks for the reports, James. We went to Beaver up in Skagit last week and my son scored a 6# LMB. Today we hit Goodwin early and got rained on pretty much for a couple hours. Got one SM on a deep crank, but had the battery cable meltdown that put a damper on the morning. Gave it a few hours, got pretty chilled and decided to go home and work on the boat. When I get the boat online may get a couple more trips in.
