Took advantage of the day off and nice weather and hit Lake Washington. Got on the water about 8:30 am. and headed to the South end of Mercer Island. Fished along the shore for an hour or so with out any hits. Worked out to deeper water and still nothing. Decided to work my way over closer to the Cedar river. At about 10:00 my buddy had a bite but no hook up. Then we made a turn back to where we hat the earlier hit and his pole bounced again. This time he had a fish. Got it to the boat and noticed it was about a 20 inch Blackmouth. Then my pole we crazy. I reeled up a 12-13 inch Cutt. We made another loop around and my pole takes off again. This time I hooked up with a 21 inch Cutt. Fished around the mouth of the river anther hour and we picked up one more small Cutt.

Not a bad day on the water.

We were fishing out there as well on the South end and saw you. We picked up and moved to East Channel and did almost the same as you, with one big 21"er. Not many bites, but quality and worth toughing out the cold.

Not sure what the limit on a cuttroat is but for steelhead and rainbows is 20 inches. Does anyone know. One guy thought a cutthroat is considered a steelhead in the lake. Aslo what about a Donaldson? What is the rules for resident blackmouth? Oh yeah nice fish man!! In years past wasn't a derby held as a fundraiser.
