Went a little closer to home today for some ice fishing. There was about 4 inches of ice on the top half of the lake. Fishing was spotty we landed 4 rainbows (8"-21") in about 4 hours. Fish were caught on swedish pimples tipped with worm in 12 to 15 feet of water. The 21 incher put up quite the battle. Saw 7 others people on the ice, two of which reported no bites. I am happy to have done some icefishing during this El Nino winter. However, looking at the forecast I don't anticipate the ice to last much longer on Fourth of July.
