Jason Brooks, outdoor writer was in the valley visiting his Dad, our guide emeritus Al Brooks. So they brought Jason's young son, Ryan out to fish with Jeff for our Kokanee for a few hours. They worked a snow storm above the Narrows and stayed with the pattern hitting these suspended silver gems. Depths of 50 to 150 works fine. Mack's Lures mini cha cha's baited with Firecorn being trolled at about 1 mph is most consistent. Don't be afraid to speed up or slow down these finicky fish. Also, take it easy when playing these fish to put them in the net. Extra pumping or jerking will cost you fish. Woo hoo! The Winter Kokanee Bonanza is here...
