Probably a lot of people already know about this judging by the number of shore fishermen and boats. There are many planted steelhead that are very cooperative right now. Trolled south end of the lake, 2 people for 2 hours and 25 landed. largest was maybe 15-16, average size was about 12 inches. Seems like they are schooled up and will follow your lures and nip away at various crankbaits and flies. About 1 in 4 hits ended in a hookup. Fish are small, but it was a fun and short day. Bites were pretty constant with doubles most of the time. Connected a lot on turns and speed changes, seemed like the bite was better in 60-120 FOW. Water at the "launch" is at a good level for launching. Clarity was good, water temp was 40. This could get really interesting if the numbers hold up and these grow about 4 more inches. Good way to start the year.
