Been fishing American this and last month, caught mostly 14-16" RB's, a Koke now and again. Last 3 (times) weeks have been slow... no fish- any idea what these weights are worth? Thanks, Gary

Thanks for the report, that is one skinny RB for American. I think the weights are depending on how heavy they are. Hope it picks up soon out there.

No red band on lateral line and it look like it has red slash under jaw but cant tell since it is bleeding. Could be just blood

It's a cutt for sure.

Best indicator of a Cutthroat is that the jawline extends past the eye whereas on a Rainbow the jawline ends at the eye. That is a Cutthroat for sure! The weights look like old downrigger weights? I dunno!

I caught another just like it on Mon. last. Will try to post a picture... talked to another fisherman at the launch while leaving after cleaning the newest, he said; "not a cut, no red in the gills under chin:". Thought it might be the RB class with the very faint glow stripe, more pronounced in latest pic- no blood, lol. Both of them fought for 15 min.+ and jumped rather than tail-walked like a Koke. Only fish that fought so hard was the Eastern Brooks I caught back in "64, last time I fished- 'till last year. Very red meat and full of flavor, unlike a RB, almost as much as a Koke, but way more gamey. sp. an't paste, will start another thread... Gary
