Paul Chauvin(not being a football fan) brought Melissa Miller of Lacey out to fish with Jeff on Chelan for some Mackinaw. This was one of those days that we were lucky they came for a full day. Jeff started out working the usually reliable Bar and Barrens with very little success. He made the move into the Trench and voila' the fish began to cooperate. An old school U20 Flatfish, "Michael Jackson in Chartreuse pants" got hot for a while on an outrigger rod. But overall, the Chartreuse glow Needlefish Squiddy from Silver Horde with the Mack's Smile Blade baited with a chunk of Pikeminnow was the top performer. The weather is getting milder. It is a great time to shake off the winter blues, the cabin fever and get some fish on Chelan.

Work the trench at 1mph within 5 feet of the bottom in depths of 220 to 245 feet for best success during the "bankers bite".

Jeff makes trolling 5 ft from the bottom at 250 ft look easy. We had a great time and the lake is incredibly beautiful this time of year. Highly recommend this guide service to anyone interested in hooking up some winter fish. I've been on both Kokanee and Mackinaw charters with him and he put fish on the line all day both trips. Giving away fillets to everyone at work like Oprah, "You get a fish, you get a fish, you get a fish....". - Paul
