It was heavy fog in the morning, so we decided to start fishing shortly after 12 pm. Kirkland is new area for us. We did not have fish finder this time. So I used anchor's rope with marks. Checked 60'-80' only to find small perch 5"-6" and Peamouth chub 10"-12". School of big perch was found in 40'-45' of water. Sunny and calm afternoon. We fished area in front of Marsh Park. Beautiful day and I'm definitely coming back. Pictures will be uploaded later.

Thank you for the review! Can you tell more about this peamouth chub? I fish lake Washington from kayak, caught a lot of perch, but never this peamouth chub. Any special tactics/bait for it?

We use drop shot or gold kastmaster and #4 hook above it. I'd say 10" - 15" above. Both work good ( second setup also is working good to catch trout ). No special tactics. Worms as a bait. I caught my 1st Peamouth couple of years ago and was tolled that it's White Fish. But it's not. It is Peamouth Chub. I've caught them in Washington Lake, O Denny Park area, Sammamish Lake - very Southeast end in front of houses, but it was summer time. This time , honestly, my first time fishing in February. Last year my wife was making fish cakes from this fish ,everybody I know liked it. We also salted it .

VMV1998 - thank you! I am just so tired of perch that I definitely should try to catch something new)
