well, i took my mom out fishing today for some quality mom-son time. we had a fantastic time, but no fish to show. 3 hits for the entire day. threw colors galore out there as well. hum-dinger, wedding rings, spoons, the whole kit and caboodle. haven't had a day on this lake with nothing to show for a while. first time trolling with my mom, so disappointing i couldn't put a fish in the boat for her. trying again friday!

gracie the wonder-dog came along for the ride as well. she and i were twins, rocking the FISH-WASHINGTON sweatshirts.

all in all, great day with my mom. next time, fish in the boat!!!

anybody know if the recent storm has an effect on the fish behavior in this case? rained hard for the days prior. maybe they weren't as active?

lots of marks on the sonar. no takers

Glad you got some time with your mom and had some fun doing so!! Great looking set up you got going for yourself. I find when the pressure is dropping the fish tend not to bite as much when it rises or holds steady but YMMV, just my opinion.

Be very very careful Friday there is a storm headed this way with some nasty winds......Tight lines, Eric

I have been fishing it on Saturday's for a few week now, I noticed the bite is on around 12-1:30 maybe 2, but its really over around 3pm, and its hard to make anything happen before 10. Honestly, I have caught them all over the lake, but if i had to say where they are and to spend your time. Shoot right up the middle :), maybe 40% to 60% on ether side, from the boat launch to the weather station, and around that cove to the left of the weather station, stay deep. 10ft-15ft down, the lures you mentioned, tip with worm, slow down, speed up, zig zag, s turns, even stop for a few moments. Some days or better than other, but hey, a bad day of fishing beats a good day of anything else!

the bite has been very off and on. i have been fishing it quite often lately. got the bite today around 9:50 or so. wind kicked up after that. sprinted off the lake.

side note, it was the deep rod this time. 90 feet back and 21 feet down in the rigger. wedding ring with a crawler.
