On the water by 9 am. Trolled most of the day with everything I had and not even a bite. Jigger and drifted, nothing. Talked to at least 8 other boats and not one even claimed a legitimate bite! The weather started great and finished with hard rain.

This is day 2 of getting blanked. Yesterday was a beautiful, calm day on Offut Lake. Same story. Lots of boats out all the sudden and nobody reporting fish or bites. Not sure why the bite is off? Dormant? Spooked by all the new boats out? I had been catching fish all winter and it's not just me getting blanked.

Any thoughts out there?

Wow! Sorry to hear that you had such a bad day on Spencer, I was there Thursday and Saturday and killed 'em! I caught some of the freshly stocked brooders on Thursday afternoon between 5 and 10 lbs each (but they are all dark, spawned out fish unfortunately) as well as a nice 18" cutthroat. Went back yesterday and had another banner day, caught several in the 5 lb range and took home a 20" and 18" cutt. Try trolling flies next time in the shallow water near the boat launch area, black wooly bugger get's 'em! Tight lines my friend!
