I went on a cool little lake hopping adventure yesterday. I checked out several local lakes, Medicine, Cave, Kilarney and Rose. I tossed swim baits and plastic hoping for some prespawn pike action to no avail. The water is high and muddy in all the Chain Lakes. I was bank fishing so I didn't get a water temp but I assume its low 40's. Its been several years, divorce, death in my family and other struggles since I've been on this site but hopefully I'm back fo awhile? I moved from Nine Mile Falls Washington to Rose Lake Idaho late last year and I'm excited to learn more about the Chain Lakes and maybe even the CDA salmon fishery as they are all in my backyard. I like to float tube and kayak fish but I also have a 17 ft. starcraft with down riggers. If any locals in the Rose Lake area share similar interests and would like to fish sometime, feel free to message me. I'm really looking forward to trying the salmon but I'm clueless as to when and where. Glad to put my boat in the water and pay for the day if someone wants to school me on CDA salmon techniques.

On another note I saw a Golden Eagle yesterday, Elk, 100+ Turkeys and probably 10,000 geese in total. I am going to have to start hunting too! Living in a really cool place and excited about new outdoor opportunities.
