Launched at the boat rental at 5:45 was fishing by 6 . The lake was calm and flat no wind so it was a nice morning for trolling .Encountered a few of the lakes no see ums before I hooked into a recent plant which I was able to release with no problem .After a few more of these I went a little deeper and started hitting the steelys. The water temp was up 2 degrees from yesterday to a balmy 51 . The color of the day was lime green wedding ring with orange spinner blade behind a clown flasher with a medium size split shot for weight . Started the day trolling at # 1 but as day went on #2 was producing more hits. Saw lots of people fishing from shore and putting a lot of fish on their stringers. They were using floating power bait on a 4 foot leader and casting out as far as they could. Al in all was a great day of fishing , the rest of the week should be just as good if not better as the lake warms a bit this weekend .
