Finally brushed the cobwebs off my kokanee gear and headed out to Merwin Lake to see if I could pick up a few for the grill. Beautiful day on the water, sunny skies with light winds. Trolled for about 2 hours and picked up several squawfish which were quickly dispatched to the eagle that was flying overhead. After no luck finding my prey I moved further down the lake closer to the dam. Trolled there for about a half hour and caught more junk fish when a guy in a smaller boat flagged me down and told me his motor had conked out and asked if I would tow him in. Ugh! Oh well, I've been there before so I did what any fellow fisherman would do in the situation. Towed him all the way back to Speelyai Bay and then decided to call it a day. Giving it a two star for the weather.
