A buddy and I had a nice day on Meridian. We took my drift boat and got on the water about 10:30am. We were originally targeting kokanee, but couldn't get any to bite. We were trolling clown dodgers and wedding rings tipped with corn. The kokanee didnt want to play, but we had good success with planter rainbows. The rainbows were hitting the trolling gear, but we decided to break out the fly rods and trolled wooley buggers on full-sinking lines. We got the majority of our bites on the flies. on the West side of the lake, just outside of the buoys. We also got a few bites near the Power Bait dock on the South end.
Around 7:00pm, we'd had enough and left with a near limit of 8 fish on the stringer.
Good way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon.
