Took my boys out on Silver in the new fishin' boat. We had a good time as usual. Plenty of folks out on the lake already. Water was still cold, 51 in the main lake. Worked our way to the south end where the water temp was at 60. I saw several tigers laying in the weeds and was able to convince one little guy to grab ahold of a large tube. My boys both caught bass on grubs when they were not slowly working spinnerbaits and small, tiny bucktails.
The fish were not in the areas of the bays where there were no weeds.
We trolled north along the west side rock wall and had a fish on, but it shook free at the boat. It wasn't a tiger though, it was a very large brown trout. It hit a jointed perch Rapala, of course.
We left around 2pm. Nice day on the lake.
