Started with three other guys at 9:30 AM from the public launch. Worked our way down the north shore all the way to the east end of the lake. Maybe it is too early for trout or we don't know what we're doing, but we did have a fish finder and it returned zero results over a four hour period. Zilch. Weather was pleasant but would be very leery of returning to this lake in any kind of wind or heat: no trees anywhere.

Thanks for the report; I've had a number of SKUNKS from shore, as well. Earlier in the year, on separate shore trips, I caught a 21" rainbow and my wife a couple of footballs of 18" and 19", but the fishing this Spring has been nothing like last Spring. In fact, I've noticed a number of the shore fishing regulars have given up. WHAT HAPPENED?

Try three colors leaded line with 50' fluro leader with a olive bunny leech and small piece of worm. Or Kekeda flies in perch or olive. Troll on the freeway side from the Sprague Rest area sign East about 1/2 mile then cross lake and up the other side crossing at the just west of the freeway sign. You'll figure out where you cant go because ti gets shallow. Troll at least 2 mph. The lake is so shallow the fish don't sonar well,

Tight lines - Alan
