Fished Kokanee lake this morning for four hours...rowed (yes...ROWED...against the current...stoo-pid) all the way up past the waterfall, almost to deadline, could not quite get there due to current....BUT....

I anchored off the side in the slack water by the warning sign, tossed a 1/4 ounce gold Little Cleo tipped with a single Gulp white maggot. The fishing was great! Hooked approx a dozen rainbows, all more silvery than the ones by the launch, all 12 to 18 inches, kept 4. Two surprises, one was a 3 pound char (bull trout) and the other was a 4 pound Chinook!!! Did not keep either obviously, read the sign at the boat ramp...but what nice fish from a fabulous canyon scene. The weather was amazing, also.

If you head up there, use a small outboard or strong electric to help get up to the good stuff. Be safe.

Remember, kids...what isn't tried, won't work!
