Started the lowland lake season this morning at Sixteen. Rained off/on all morning. Fly fished from my float tube, sink tip line with various colors of buggers. Took an hour to figure out what sort of presentation was going to work, but after that it was lights out until I headed home about 8:30. Nice size plants this year, most everything in the 12" range. Everyone was catching fish. Since nobody at my house eats fish, I just pinched the barbs down on the flies and released everything.

If the guy fishing bass reads this, I'd love to know if you got anything on that big bait you were throwing. If you did, I may need to come back with something heavier than my 4-wt.
