I should have known it would be a bad day for fishing as the weather forecast for the weekend up there is to get colder and colder plus wind and storminess thrown in. I read that when it's clear and windy after a storm that fish don't bite and when I left the house this morning it was mostly clear and windy and just got windier as I drove up to the mountains. The water in temp is 46 now after being 49 in the heat last week and maybe that was the deciding factor.

I thought I had a bite once or twice, but most likely they were just logs. Zero fish on zero landed. At least I got some free firewood from a tree that had fallen over the dirt road that someone sawed up.
