Hit West Medical for trout opener and had a great time! The wife and I just moved up from Southern CA, so this was our first WA fishing experience. Got to the lake around 5AM and paid our dock fishing dues [$4/person]. There were already about 7-10 people at the end of the dock just slammin' it. They were all averaging about 20+ inches and fat! Unfortunately, the folks that didn't get the end of the dock were less fortunate. I hooked up with a pan size, 10-12", about an hour into the trip. Other than that I didn't land anything. The wife hooked up with a monster about two hours after I landed my little guy. Was, honestly, one of the biggest trout I've ever seen in person. Unfortunately, the line broke and it got away. All in all, it was a great experience and we will definitely be going back, but will try and get the end of the dock before anyone else does.
