With the warm weather we found ourselves back at silver lake in pursuit of those 13in crappie. At about 6:30pm we launched and headed to the island. We fished the exact same spot as last time and found a crappie feeding frenzy. The second our float and jig hit the water it would go under. The amount of fish is staggering. Even leaving your jig off the side of the boat resulted in fish. That is how Danny caught the biggest fish of the day. We are getting oh so close to our 13in goal! It seems the bigger fish have taken over in this spot, it was rare to catch one under 9 inches. We fished little fly indicator floats with 1/32oz jighead with small brown curly tailed grubs set at about 18inches deep.
