Since my outboard is being repaired, had no choice but to give the Kokanee a break so decided to head to Ki for some trout fun. Started fishing at 7:45am and fished for about 3 hours. Began trolling Elgin Fishing God's Tooth spoon in Brown Trout pattern on slow action. Fish on within 2 minutes but went airborne and got off. A minute later another fish on but it also escaped. Switched to Perch on fast action setting and brought the fish in to release it. Switched to Perch pattern slow action and caught a couple more. Tried some other patterns but just getting bites. Then put on Rainbow Trout set at fast action and caught a few more. Lastly, put on a Green top set at fast action and caught a few more. God blessed with 10 fish total, lost 4 to 5 more and had a lot of bites but for some reason, the fish were quite passive today. The hookups I did get were feisty fish and fought very well for their size which ranged from 10"-12" and were all stockers. Fish were in top 10' of water column and all released carefully to fight another day. Wishing all tight lines!
