Good trip, a little windy. Caught a handful of crappie.

Is it better to release the smaller crappie or keep'em?

Crawdad on the trail.

Where, when, how to catch crappie? Experiment.

tight lines.

Depends on the lake. Heavily fished? Release. Lightly fished? Take some. Heavy population or stunted looking fish? Take some. Good food supply? Release more. The goal is a balance, and you need to know as much as you can about the lake. I can't help there, because it's been decades since I've fished it, but use common sense and observation, you won't go wrong.

Hey San, you're still a little early for Larsen bud. The crappie won't become active 'till the blueberries are ready.....until then, you will only catch the few spawners that wander in to the shallows. Give it a month or so and it will heat up!

Tight lines!!!!
