We got a late start fishing. We stayed at Mardon and getting our daughter up and moving was a little tough but once she was up she was ready to rip some lips! We started around 8 and headed to crab creek. We made 5 passes and got 6 walleyes. The biggest was around 7 lbs and the smallest around 2 lbs. We fished for a few hours up there then came off the water for lunch at the resort then headed back out for the afternoon. We didn't get any fish that afternoon but we did get some good karma points. Earlier in the day a boat with some younger kids lost there net and we caught it that afternoon. We spotted them on the lake on our way out and we buzzed over there and returned it. We saw 3 other boats where we were and everyone was catching fish here and there. I think total we saw around 10 other walleyes caught along with a handful of bass. Chartreuse bodies with motor oil smile blades and bronze with bronze scale blades were the colors we used all with slow death or spin drift hooks. Can't wait to get back up there. We would've fished sunday but the forecast was calling for 15-20mph winds and we know how the potholes is with that kind of gusts. TIGHT LINES ALL!!
