5/24/2016 11:31:00 AMI'm headed to Taidnipam for Memorial weekend. Just called their recreational hotline (1-888-502-8690) and yes the level is down 20' from full, but the newer north ramp and Kosmo launch are both listed as usable......

5/24/2016 2:01:00 PMWell, I have been fishing it the last 2 days, with 2 rods... And have landed 1 fish!! I fished at the dam yesterday from my boat and guy nothing!! Talked with a guy in the campground and he had had nothing this week.
I drove up to Taidnipam this morning to maybe launch there.. No go, South launch was totally loaded with logs and branches. Went in campground and it is closed, high and dry. Drive over to Kosom launch, talked to 3 old guys that were coming in, they had nothing and had ran up into river. They actually grounded in the way into launch.
Today, at least I didn't get skunked. I tried along the dam, along north shoreline, and over by swaford. Only the 1 fish!!
Bummer!!!
Maybe I will try Alder tomorrow instead??

5/24/2016 3:13:00 PMThe Taidnipam boat launch has only been open when lake is full pool. That has not happened in many years. That is why they built the new ramp just down the road. Full of logs that does happen from time to time but they are try and keep it clear. The Kosmos launch is use at your own risk not for me. Now at the other end of the lake there is a boat launch at the Tacoma park campground that has a dock on it but sometimes is not usable in low water, call and ask.

5/24/2016 11:15:00 PMThe launch at Taidnipam closed about mid July last year while we were there camping. Hopefully it will open again once the lake level rises. Hope the fishing results now are not a forecast of the fishing this summer. Thanks for the reports.
