We started fishing at 6:45 a.m. Caught between 10 and 14 Kokanee by 11:30 a.m. We caught fish trolling between 15 ft. and 35 ft. However, we did not keep any because of the sheer lack of size. Most fish were of the 8-10 inch variety. This was our first trip to Loon Lake. Is this the normal size of fish here?

This time of year that's the norm. They don't get a whole lot bigger by the end of summer either.

Trout can get big but if you were catching silvers then ya that is the average size for loon lake. fish late evening for the makanaws using glow hooks to attract.
